Google the new big brother ?
Force for good, or force for evil? It seems to be everywhere now, introducing new tools everyday. Big brother or Benefactor friend ? On one hand they are so genial, and on other and they scared me.

Curently, google make a lot of attractive tools, and moreover free tools ! (google docs, Google earth,…) but with this tools they can watch what you do 
This problem is about the question of privacy, because google use your personal information to impose ads on your computer. They know who you are, what you buy, what are your search on the web, where you live, but it is a problem ?
If google use this personel information to just do targeted advertising is not a problem and maybe a good thing. In this way you can buy some product you like.
But if google sell this personal information to other firm is a problem, because you lose the control of your private life. and privacy is “the ability of an individual or group to control the flow of information about themselves and thereby reveal themselves selectively”
Facebook, why does Microsoft want to be part of it ?
Microsoft recently bought a little part of facebook (1.6%) and for 240 millions dollars. Why a giant like microsoft payed a lot of money just for a social network like facebook ? it is an error ?
“No” says microsoft, they just want to have a part in a very popular social network. But, it’s not the real motivation of microsoft. Indeed, they want to control ads on the net like google, and for this facebook is a good place. With facebook, they can put ads for millions people.
But google want a part of the social network too. So they have make the “open social” counter attack. What’s “open social” ? It’s an association of different social network against the giant facebook (Orkut, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Ning, Hi5, Plaxo, Friendster, Viadeo and Oracle, Flixster, iLike, RockYou and Slide).

Google docs
Google docs is an online software, so you don’t need to install something on your computer. You just need an internet connexion, and a navigator like mozilla firefox or internet explorer. After, you clic on google docs and you can import your documents (présentations, spreadsheets,…) or create new documents with the tools available in google docs.

Moreover, you can invite people to your documents and make changes together, at the same time. It’s collaborative work.

I think that googledocs is a great application but just when you are 3 or 4 on the same document. When you are more it’s just impossible to work because all the people change the doc in the same time and it’s too chaotic.
